healthy food.
You can achieve the goal of overall good health by following a
carefully planned and balanced diet. Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind regarding
your diet. Make sure you eat healthy!
Drink water!
Drink enough water to stay hydrated. Generally, 6-8 glasses every day are recommended.
Fiber is important!
To avoid constipation, increase the fiber in your diet. Switch from white
bread, rice and pasta to brown bread and whole grain versions.
Fruits, vegetables, and complex carbs
Include plenty of fruit and vegetables in your diet. Complex
carbohydrates like multigrain bread, legumes, rice, starchy vegetables,
and fruits will maintain your energy levels throughout the day.
Eat light, feel light
Avoid large meals as they may make you feel bloated. Instead, go for
frequent, lighter meals and healthy snacks in between.
Do not skip breakfast!
Having breakfast is particularly important! Do not skip it, as it provides
you with energy and nutrients in the mornings.
Vitamins
Vitamins provide nutrition and prevent disease. Important vitamins are A, B6, B12, C, D,
and E. Vitamin D is especially important for calcium absorption, bone growth and
immunity. Eat dairy products and breakfast cereals. Also, get some sunshine today!
Last but not the least: include turmeric in your diet!
Turmeric has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and therapeutic properties. Overall, it is
beneficial to manage MS and is neuroprotective in nature.
